In a ceremony before the game the Falcons thanked seniors Recardo Gaddy, Sean Wigmore and Julius Francis for their dedication and commitment to the GC Basketball program. There is still some basketball to play though as the Falcons travel to Southern MD on Friday to take on a tough St. Mary's Ryken team.

It will be a battle for the 4th seed in the conference.

Falcons Fight For Four Straight And Take Down The Carroll Lions

Sunday is normally a day of rest but not for the Good Counsel Boys. Continuing their hot play of late the Falcons tamed the Lions 65-48 in D.C. for their 4th straight win. They continue to climb up the conference standings as they move through the second half of the season. Next up for the team is a Tuesday night matchup against highly ranked O'Connell at Good Counsel.

Falcons Stay Hot, Cool Off Mustangs

Good Counsel didn't let a #4 ranking get in their way on Friday night as they tangled with McNamara. Devon Wright Nelson had a huge game and Ben Hazel once again made the key basket as time wound down to give the Falcons a 61-60 victory. That's 3 in a row if you are keeping score. Come on out and see the Falcons in person as they go for the 4th straight against Carroll on Sunday.

Falcons Fly High and Take Down the Stags!

On friday night in Hyattsville the boys came out looking for a fight and wanting to prove that they are still a team to be reckoned with this season. The Falcons look to stay on a roll when they take on St. John's on Tuesday night.

Thanks for a Great Season

Although the season is over there were a lot of memories to go around. The year had so many positives and was such a great ride it's sure to be remembered for years to come.

It all started with the 3 straight tournament wins and 3 MVPs for Jordan Clarke. After the return from Hawaii Jordan went down with Mono but his teammates stepped up. We saw strong perfomances from Senior Steve Musenga, Junior Recardo Gaddy and Sophomores Ben Hazel and Devon Wright-Nelson. Julius Omoniurhie continued to develop and by the end of the year was a force inside to be reckoned with. Our back court of Louis Young and Rodney Glasgow ensure us of two more years of great ball handling and offensive fireworks.

This season also saw two home sellouts for Gonzaga and DeMatha and the team was in the Post Top 20 for almost the entire season. Although the season is over and our seniors are moving on we know the future looks bright and next year promises another terrific season. Thanks our players and to all the fans who came out and supported us!
