3 Game Win Streak On The Line Against McNamara
The boys are on a 3 game winning streak. After great efforts against Wicomico, O'Connell and St. Mary's Ryken, led by Tre Thomas' 27 points and Trevor Brown's 10 points and 12 rebounds, the boys take on McNamara Tuesday night.

Falcons Break Through in Virginia
The GC Boys put together a complete game effort on Tuesday against O'Connell and came away with a 73-62 win. Next up is a trip to Ryken on Friday. Fill up the tank!
Conference Play Provides Tough Test For Falcons
So far 2012 has not been a nice year for the boys varsity team. Facing a tough group of ranked teams and WCAC opponents the Falcons are playing hard but not yet breaking through. There are still a lot of games to play and a big one is in Olney Friday night when St. Johns comes to town. Come on out in your Blue and Gold and help support team!

GC Defeats Hanover in Benedictine First Round
The Falcons win 71-64 in first round of Benedictine Capital city Classic in Richmond. Tre Thomas led the scoring with 15, Andrew Calomeris had 14, Byron Hawkins had 13 and Lucas Morley and Anthony Vaglica chipped in 9.
Falcons Give Ryken Rude Welcome
The Kane Center was not friendly to St. Mary's Ryken on Wednesday night as 4 Falcons scored in double figures to defeat Ryken 79-67. Byron Hawkins had 21, Andrew Calomeris had 17, Kyle Savercool had 16 with 12 boards and Tre Thomas chipped in 13 in the winning effort. The team hosts McNamara Wednesday night in Olney.
GC Beats Pallotti 56-48 at Bullis Holiday Classic
The boys beat Pallotti 56-48 on Saturday in the Bullis Holiday Classic. On Friday the boys lost a hard fought battle against #9 Episcopal. See the Washington Post article here.
Time Change for Ryken on Dec 20th
There has been a time change for the St. Mary's Ryken Varsity and JV games on December 20th. JV will play at 5:00 and Varsity at 7:00.
Another IAC Takedown Versus Prep
Georgetown Prep visited the Kane Center Monday and got a rude welcome from GC's dynamic trio of Byron Hawkins (24), Tre Thomas (22) and Andrew Calomeris (12). The Falcons took down their second IAC foe in 2 weeks. The Falcons are at the Bullis Holiday Classic this weekend after exams.
2 Games 2 Wins
Taking on the IAC's St. Albans Monday the Falcons came out with the same hustle and flow that they showed against WCA. Led by Byron Hawkins (22), Andrew Calomeris (13), and Tre Thomas (10) GC jumped out to a large lead and then cruised to a 76-62 victory at the Kane Center. Next up is O'Connell Dec 7th.
GC Starts Season With 3-Point Festival
When you hit 16 3-pointers like the Falcons did Friday against Washington Christian Academy only good things can happen. Byron Hawkins 27 points lit up the Kane Center and Tre Thomas chipped in 15 points. It was a great start to the season. The boys are in action again Monday against St. Albans at home.

The new season is just around the corner. Your Falcons are getting ready to start the long journey that is the WCAC basketball conference. The 2011-2012 Schedule is set so get ready for some hoops!
